Further development of camshaft measurement In the realization of energy-saving drives of drive units, camshafts play a decisive role. In order to meet the increasing demands on precision in the production of camshafts, Mahr has further developed its proven solutions for the measurement and evaluation of camshafts.
In connection with the already established measuring solutions with the Primar and GMX series, this further development represents an important further expansion in the field of camshaft assessment.
In the new generation of the application camshaft measurement, all camshaft types, whether standard, double cams, tripods and excenter shafts are brought together in one family program. This concentration now enables the most different cam geometries to be easily and efficiently defined in one menu-controlled family program and to easily create the measuring programs. With the definition of so-called global parameters, the customer-specific measuring runs, tolerances as well as evaluations can be standardized. The combination of measuring and geometry parameters with manufacturing-specific work sequences makes the creation of measuring programs as easy and fast as ever.
In addition to an increase in efficiency, the expansion of the functionality was the focus of our activities. Many new functions include the paralellism of facing generating lines, the helix angle of cams, the free input of areas to be eliminated, the complete parameterization of all distance measurements as well as the freely definable scaling and fitting into the protocol that is now possible. In addition to the well-known high accuracy and precision of our measuring systems, the performance of the measuring runs and the "floor to floor" times resulting from that were further optimized. All together, these newly developed and optimized runs lead to a higher cost effectiveness and higher efficiency in the evaluation and analysis of camshafts.
Our solutions guarantee high performance. For more detailed information on the new family program of the Camshaft 2, please contact Mr. Amslinger at info-jena@mahr.de. He will be happy to assist you. |
