Training company with top marks: 5 out of 5 stars for Mahr

With extensive supervision, the trainees are best prepared for the future
In a test with 700 other companies, Mahr achieved the highest rating with 5 out of 5 possible stars, making it one of the best training companies in Germany.

The business magazine Capital has selected the "Best Trainers of Germany" for the second time. With five out of five stars, Mahr received the highest rating for excellence and top quality training. Stephan Gais, Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors, is proud: "Only a good education forms highly qualified specialists – and that's exactly what we need, because they make the difference in the end."

Important cornerstone for the skilled workers of tomorrow

Five criteria were examined and evaluated: supervision, learning in the workplace, commitment of the company, chances of success and innovative teaching methods. In addition, Mahr also scored points in the evaluation category "Dual Studies" and also achieved a top result of 5 stars there. The fifth-generation family business sees training as the cornerstone for tomorrow's skilled workers. That is why Mahr offers intensive support for apprentices and dual students, coupled with interesting additional and continuing education opportunities: "In addition to a state-of-the-art training center for technical education, we also offer additional internal instruction. There is also the opportunity to gain experience abroad at our international locations," says Sabine Schlüer, Personnel Officer at Mahr.

Many former trainees remain in the company

Already during the training period, the trainees at Mahr work in areas in which they can later be employed. This gives them the opportunity to work on real projects and experience what professional life will look like when their training is over. Many former trainees make the decision to continue their vocational training in a professionalization area after graduation, for example, as an industrial master, technician or in the commercial field with a degree in business administration. "The good development opportunities within the company, combined with a positive working atmosphere and many offers to reconcile work and family, contribute to the fact that many of the former apprentices Mahr remain loyal," says Mahr Managing Partner Gais.

Overall training quality at a high level

More than 700 companies participated in the extensive study by the business magazine Capital. Study Director Ana Fernandez-Mühl sums up: "The training quality of companies is at a very high level, but the recruitment of talent is not a matter of course. Successful companies have understood this: they offer a high-quality education and speak about it."
