The new freedom when measuring: Wireless measurements directly in production and wireless transmission of measurement data speeds up the quality assurance process. Mahr offers wireless measuring devices as "SMAHRT Products" with local intelligence for the networked factory of the future. The MarCom software is available for data analysis.

Measuring is comfortable with the digital MarCal calipers and MarCator indicators from Mahr. These gages are equipped with the integrated radio system "Integrated Wireless" using "SMAHRT metrology". This significantly increases the flexibility of the user in terms of freedom of movement. For applications, such as when measuring on the machine or on larger workpieces, this eliminates the troublesome work of laying of cables. This way of working ensures a significantly faster and more efficient data processing, especially for quality control in production or incoming goods.

Data transmission via radio also simplifies the recording and documenting of measurement data, especially in the networked factory of Industry 4.0. By using a button on the instrument, the keyboard, timer, remote control or foot switch, the acquired data is sent from the gage to the radio receiver. This is in turn connected with the data acquisition software. The radio receiver is in the USB port of the computer. Per each i-stick receiver, up to 8 gages can be connected with "Integrated Wireless". For those measuring instruments that do not have an "Integrated Wireless" interface, Mahr still offers the possibility to transfer data via radio from the gage to the software. This is done by combining a transmission module on the gage with the corresponding e-stick radio receivers.

Adjunct to the hardware, Mahr offers the software MarCom Professional 5.0.  It enables the easy and fast setup of measuring stations with wireless data transfer to the PC. The acquisition of measured values into existing MS-Excel templates or a text file is just as possible as the control via SPC software using a virtual interface box or data output via keyboard code. The MarCom cell control is highly flexible. The measured values of the connected measuring devices can thereby automatically be transferred into separate Excel columns, tables, or files. This increases the reliability of correct measurement data documentation. At the same time, the MarCom software ensures that the readings can be passed on through an integrated virtual interface box to an SPC / CAQ software such as Q-DAS or Babtec.
