Mahr offers new standard solution for the measurement of hobs


In co-operation with the long-standing partner esco, Herzogenrath, Mahr offers a new software option for GMX gear measuring machines for the measurement of hobs. The basic scope of this standard hob package encompasses testing tasks on hob gear teeth as well as on the reference collar and the clamping surfaces according to DIN 3968. In addition to the documentation of the results of the measurements in an overall protocol, GearCuT already offers additional useful features in this configuration:
- Measurement and logging of the profile shape deviations of the entire profile, including tooth root and tooth tip geometry optionally in the axial section or in the reference profile.
- Logging of tolerances and deviations to the associated profile parameters
- Measurement and logging of the axial division
From the complete test to the selection of certain individual measuring tasks, the measuring sequence can be flexibly adapted to the respective customer requirements. Rapid repetition measurements of conspicuous features can be repeated one by one within a set measurement task. The data management of the measurement orders includes the automatic archiving of the raw data, so that a subsequent evaluation of previous measurements is possible at any time.
As in GearCuT.Professional, especially used for the complete milling machine tool measurement and tool development, the tool is also depicted in the background as a complete 3D model in this standard hob package. The parameterization of the tool geometry as a standardized part is carried out in clear input masking.
The standard gear package GearCuT has been specifically designed for use in incoming goods inspection and as an "entry-level system", while at the same time providing an efficient and economical contribution to quality assurance when re-sharpening the tools.
