Mahr receives “Supplier Award” from Schaeffler AG

Reliable cooperation
9,000 suppliers provide production materials to more than 70 Schaeffler plants worldwide. The internationally successful automotive and industrial supplier expects the highest quality, reliability and cost discipline. The Mahr Group has been supplying Schaeffler with metrology for quality assurance in production for decades. At this year's "Supplier Day" on May 21, 2019, Schaeffler AG presented the Mahr Group with the "Supplier Award - Partners for Performance" for reliable cooperation.

Sole prize winner for "Global Contribution”
The best 20 suppliers from all suppliers were honored in five categories: Mahr received the award in the "Global Contribution" category – and is the sole winner in the group of capital goods suppliers. "Mahr metrology is represented in almost every Schaeffler Group plant worldwide," says Uwe Kauder, Head of Direct Sales at Mahr. "Our metrology helps the Schaeffler Group to maintain its high quality standards."

Holistic international support
The "Supplier Day" brought together 130 large and strategically important suppliers with more than 320 participants at Schaeffler's headquarters in Herzogenaurach. In his laudation, Michael Hartig, Executive Vice President Purchasing & Supplier Management at Schaeffler AG, emphasized the many years of cooperation based on partnership. "Mahr understood that holistic and international support is an extremely important contribution to the success of the Schaeffler Group.... In times of change, the Schaeffler Group needs partners who provide strategic support in order to be able to react jointly and successfully to current market challenges in the future – as 'Partners for Performance'.
