MarForm MFU 200: ultraprecise form measurement

| Press Office

One machine – two ultraprecise concepts: Mahr now offers the well-proven MFU universal form measuring system in two versions for different applications. The first, MarForm MFU 200, inspects the form and position of rotationally symmetrical workpieces with tolerances below 1/1000 of a millimeter with high precision. The second machine, MarOpto MFU 200-3D, measures components in the optical industry automatically, quickly and close to production in 2D and 3D*.

For decades, the MFU system has stood for accuracy and stability. Its universality and ultraprecision has qualified the MFU system as a reference measuring center. It offers maximum measuring reliability, which increases the tolerance margin for production, optimizes processes and ultimately reduces production costs.

Features

With the MarForm MFU 200, external influencing factors such as temperature and vibration are largely eliminated. The measuring solution can measure a wide range of features such as form and position – (e.g.) roundness, straightness, cylindrical shape, and run – as well as absolute measurement (e.g.) diameter, taper angle, and distance.

MarForm MFU 200 is equipped with the T7W tactile touch probe and can be expanded to include the IPS optical sensor. The MarWin software platform’s intuitive, cascaded user guidance offers extensive options with the Easy, Advanced or Professional modules to evaluate the measurement data.
