MarSurf CD 140 AG 11: All-rounder with intelligent touch probe system

| Press Office

Mahr launches its new contour measuring device MarSurf CD 140 AG 11 with touch probe system and measuring range of up to 70 mm. The probe tips can be changed quickly and without tools – and completely without recalibration.

The new contour measuring device enables fast and precise measurements. Its flexible workpiece holder makes the MarSurf CD 140 AG 11 particularly easy to handle. It is highly versatile for measuring roughness, and its intelligent probe system and magnetic probe tip holder make it possible to change probe tips easily, without tools, at any time. The automatic probe force selection guarantees the correct probe force when changing multiple probe tips.

X-axis with maximum measuring range

The high-speed X-axis of the new MarSurf CD 140 AG 11 contour measuring machine is designed for a large measuring range of 140 mm and has a traversing speed of the X-axis up to 200 mm/s. The Y-axis can be adjusted manually with a traverse path of 60 mm. The quick adjustment of the Z-axis, in turn, is carried out with an easy-to-use handle. In addition, located above and below the Z-axis is the fine adjustment with which the X-axis can be moved up and down.

Intuitive contour measurements in the blink of an eye

The integrated MarWin software enables simple, intuitive contour measurements and their evaluation; the measuring wizard guides users to their measurement data in a targeted manner. Measuring programs are easy to create with MarWin, and numerous measuring tasks – e.g., for determining radii, arc lengths, distances, angles and much more – are already preprogrammed in the new MarSurf CD 140 AG 11. It features a patented "Tangential Elements" function that supports simple, operator-independent evaluation of tangential transitions between radii and straight lines.

Stationary or on site at the workpiece

In addition to the MarSurf CD 140 AG 11, operators have access to a wide range of clamping devices and workpiece fixtures. Pluggable guide stops and a wide range of standardized clamping devices and workpiece fixtures allow flexible positioning of the test specimen. The 390 mm x 450 mm plate with 50 mm hole grid is also suitable for large-volume workpieces. This standard allows existing workpiece fixtures to be used and provides the basis for flexible positioning of the workpieces. The new contour measuring device can be used both stationary and directly on site at the workpiece. It is ideally suited for applications in mechanical engineering, production-related measuring, the automotive industry and medical technology.
