The MarOpto LD 280 Aspheric is a high-precision, tactile contour measuring device that Mahr has developed specifically for measuring optical components.

The MarOpto LD 280 Aspheric is a high-precision, tactile contour measuring device that Mahr has developed specifically for measuring optical components. The system accompanies the manufacturing process of optical lenses, for example, in a closed loop, thus ensuring optimum production results in a cost-efficient manner. Quality control is extremely easy for you, as evaluation and documentation of the measurement results are tailored to your standards and requirements.

With a measuring distance of 280 mm and a measurable arrow height of up to 30 mm, you now have even more options for measuring larger spheres, aspheres or DOEs – with the proven speed and accuracy. Changing the magnetically attached probe arms is child's play. The optimized interface integrates the chip-coded probe arms reproducibly into the measuring circuit and thus reduces the calibration effort. As the scanning force can be adjusted electronically, you can reliably test even the most sensitive materials.

Highly functional and convenient features

The MarOpto LD 280 Aspheric allows you to flexibly pick up loose aspheres and align them in a user-friendly way using a centering and tilting table. The optional motorized Y-axis automates the zenith search, and the manual rotary table adds an additional dimension to the profilometer: measuring several linear cuts in just one set-up is the basis for detecting non-rotationally symmetrical defects. Together with the fourth generation of the Aspheric.Lib software, you can determine the astigmatism of optics, for example.

Evaluation in accordance with ISO 10110 is standard, as is the fitting of geometry parameters. The MarOpto LD 280 Aspheric even allows you to measure and evaluate the internal centering of double-sided optical elements in accordance with standards.

The most important advantages at a glance:

  • Smaller footprint thanks to compact design
  • Closed-loop functions for quality control directly in the production process
  • Chip-coded magnetic probe arms with automatic detection to reduce errors and calibration effort
  • Fourth generation of Aspheric.Lib software with many new functions for evaluating measurement data in accordance with ISO 10110
