Excellent vocational training at Mahr

| Marketing Team

The federal network "Vocational Training without Borders", under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), has honored Mahr as a training company for its commitment to supporting stays abroad during vocational training. With its commitment, the company promotes the internationalization of vocational training.

The award was presented at a ceremony at the Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce in October 2019. Sabine Schlüer from the HR department and apprentice Maximilian Schelper, who spent part of his training at the Mahr site in Milton Keynes this year, were also present.

For many years, Mahr has offered young adults the opportunity to gain experience at its foreign subsidiaries in England and France as part of their apprenticeship, allowing them to learn about the differences in internal company processes as well as to help shape various projects. At the same time, they acquire valuable language skills and can grow personally through the "adventure abroad". The trainees are supported before and during their stay abroad by the mobility advisory service of the Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce. With their help, Mahr will also be able to offer trainees the opportunity to complete part of their training abroad in the future and thus make their training significantly more attractive.
